The translucent white glass bottle finely engraved on one side with a scholar strolling with a walking staff in a winter landscape beside an expanse of water, two trees growing from a rocky outcrop in the foreground, a shoreline and hills in the distance, the reverse engraved with the text of an ancient bronze inscription in bronze script, followed in running script by the title, ‘Sixteen characters taken from a Han dynasty*‘ and by the signature, ‘Engraved at Xi*‘ with one seal of the artist Zhou, stopper
